Hmm, it definitely helps if we knew what the error was!
Make sure that all your recording options in Audacity convert to the right kind of .wav file...

haha, no worries about asking for help. this is what it is all about. we all have gone through these things and will continue to go through new annoying issues, it is part of the game!

but yeah, what is the error? if it is an error when trying to extract that is easy if you are using Vista, if it is something else, well, we will just have to see.

The error is:

"Last Extraction Result: an error occurred during extraction."

Thanks for the Help!

Yeah that is the Vista extraction error I think.

Vista for some reason won't let you extract the phonemes automatically. You will have to put the phonemes in manually.

It sounds tedious, and well it is, but actually you get really fast at it after the first couple times and your results will be great. ;)

Ok, so again I am not at my comp at home and not looking at Faceposer, but it is something like this:

Right-click where you .wav file is in the phoneme editor and select "edit sentence" or something along those lines.

Then type in what your .wav file is saying. You actually really only need one word if you want but either way just put something in.

Now you will see that word or words across the top of your phoneme editor above your .wav file.

Right-click the first word and choose "add phoneme to..."

That will drop in your first phoneme. After that you can just click on that phoneme to add more before or after it.

This is in a video tutorial somewhere just not sure which one right now.

I finally figured out the problem with my faceposer! The Microsoft SpeechSDK was installed wrong so the extraction wouldn't work. Thanks everyone for the help!
